How To Get An Aspen Marriage License

For your Aspen elopement to be underway, there are a couple of things to consider while planning your special day! Aspen is located in Pitkin County. Therefore, in order to be legally married, you must get and use your marriage license within 35 days of being issued. This is usually around $30!

Additionally, in order to obtain your license in person, you should apply at the Pitkin Co. Clerk and Recorder’s Office. You may also contact them by phone or use the website to fill out your form! You will then need to visit the office in person to pick up a physical copy of the license before marriage.

What To Wear to Your Aspen Elopement

What is so wonderful and freeing about an Aspen Elopement is that you can do and wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable on your day! It’s helpful to first think about your location when choosing your dress or outfit. You want it to compliment your overall vibe and be something you can move freely in.

In addition, think about the weather and time of year. Some really popular options are wedding dresses made of chiffon, tulle, and lace! These fabrics make for the best photographs, are comfortable, and mimic the fluidity and natural movement of the landscape around you.

The most important thing to consider is what makes you feel you! If you can imagine yourself standing over a stunning mountaintop or gracing the historic district in this dress, you may have found the one.

How Much Does an Aspen Elopement Cost?

The cost to get married in Aspen starts at around $30. This covers your marriage license from the county. At the very minimum, you will also want to purchase a photographer, videographer, wedding attire, and hair and makeup artist. Additionally, you may also need to think about travel, hotels, and transportation if you don’t already live in or near the area.

The cost of your Aspen Elopement will vary depending on your specific type of wedding. Aspen is one of the pricer towns in Colorado, so you will likely spend more here than you would in other neighboring cities. A smaller elopement with no guests will be much more affordable, but a larger gathering will need to include food and vendors.
